Cook Time7 mins
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup butter, unsalted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
Preheat oven to 325
In a medium size bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
Once the butter and sugar is mixed well, giving to a creamy mixture, add the egg and extracts. Mix until incorporated.
Slowly add the flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Once all the flour mixture is added, remove from the bowl and knead until you have a dough ball.
Use powdered sugar for rolling out the dough. Make sure it is only enough to prevent the dough from sticking.
After the cookies have been cookie cuttered, place on a parchment lined baking sheet. If you find that the dough has gotten too soft, you can place in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes before placing in oven.
Bake cookies for 7-10 minutes. Remove them from the oven before the edges get too brown. You don’t want to overbake these cookies!
