I don’t know about y’all, but this family is all about Taco Tuesdays. Well, we could actually eat tacos or any type of Mexican cuisine 7 days a week. It is no wonder that we will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Chips, salsa, guacamole, tacos, and fajitas are on the menu. For the adults though, a margarita perfect for any summer night outside of Cinco de Mayo. Blood Orange Margaritas offer more flavor than your typical margarita.

Now back to those margaritas. This margarita is so good! If you love a good margarita, then you want to keep this recipe in your back pocket. As I mentioned above, it is both sweet and tangy. The added blood orange juice gives it that something extra that the ordinary strawberry margarita doesn’t offer.

Blood Orange Margarita

This Blood Orange Margarita is the perfect mix of sweet and tangy with the addition of only a few ingredients. The perfect drink for Cinco de Mayo or any summer night.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Jose Cuervo Tequila Reposado
  • 1 1/2 oz Triple Sec
  • 1 tbs Agave Nectar
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 blood orange, juiced

Instructions

  • Add crushed ice to a margarita glass, about 1/2 full

  • Add the triple sec, tequila, and agave nectar
